Sad News
December 7 - We've just learned that co-creator of the A-World newsletter for youth, Frank Rosin passed away on December 3. According to members of the Evergreen A's, he had no family. His partner, Archie Cress, passed away in 2011. They were both teachers by profession.

December 3 - At the Annual National Awards Banquet in Santa Maria, California, the 2024 MAFCA Directors were announced. They are:
- President - Robert Bullard
- Vice President - Ed Tolman
- Secretary - Gary Price
- Treasurer - Melanie Whittington
- Advertising - Bill Truesdell
- Chapter Coordinator - Will Langford
- Membership - Chet Wojcik Jr
- Publications - Dave Gill
- Technical - Paul Shinn

Seeking New Webmaster
November 23 - MAFCA is currently looking for a volunteer to take over the position of Webmaster. This person must have general knowledge of web infrastructure as well as a background in HTML editing using applications such as Dreamweaver. Experience with PHP, CSS and SQL as well as other scripting languages along with SFTP will be helpful as well. Training with our current platform will be provided by our interim webmaster Rick Black.

MAFCA Star Program
November 13 - The 2024 Free MAFCA membership form in our
Members Only area has been changed to identify the sponsoring member instead of chapter. When an application is received by the MAFCA office, a MAFCA Star decal will be sent to the sponsoring member.
The MAFCA Star Program is designed to reward our members who enlist new members for the club. It applies to all New Members, both free and paid. We are hoping that this small token will stimulate existing members to bring new members to the club. -- Jay McCord, Membership Director

Registration for 2024 Convention Open
November 1 - Registration for the 2024 MAFCA National Convention in New Mexico is now open. The convention will be held during the last week of June 2024.
