I have been a member of the Model A Ford Club of Colorado since 1992, have been a member of MAFCA since 1995 and I also belong to the Rocky Mountain Model A Ford Club. I have been on the board of the MAFCC more than once serving as membership chairman and as secretary. I also served as ladies activity chairman for 2 years at which time I was in charge of activities for the women of the club. I organized a fashion judging seminar to inform ladies about what it means to be judged at a meet or how to enter to be judged. We “judged” other members of our club as to why or why not they were original, image, correct or incorrect and what you should do to improve your outfit if you were being judged.

I wanted our members to realize that it is important to see what we are talking about when we, as judges, are judging fashion. It is important for the women and men to have a keen interest in the fashion part of our Model A hobby. I have helped with seminars and activities at three High Country meets (a MAFCA regional) in Breckenridge, CO and also have participated in a people’s choice fashion show with the Pikes Peak Club and also helped with activities during their meet. I have been a judge at national meets in Reno, NV for the first time in 1998, Portland, OR, Kansas City, MO, Vancouver, Canada, Dallas, TX and at regional meets in Pendleton, OR, and Calgary Canada. I am a senior judge after having completed judging in all the fashion areas.

I am a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, MO with an emphasis on Fashion. I have a Bachelors’ degree in Home Economics Education from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO and did teach Home Economics in high school in Strasburg, CO. I retired from the U.S. Postal Service serving as Postmaster in Watkins, CO.
